A vintage Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd silver cigarette case with striped guilloche panel and embossed with the Navy crown. Guilloche design in deep blue, red & white. Decorated front & back with diapered pattern, continuing onto the push clasp. Fully hallmarked inside (both sides) for Birmingham 1940, with Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd makers mark, and engraved "R.F.N.D 1944 C.H.D 1968". Approx. 11.5 x 8.5cm, total weight approx. 181.4g.
No splits, cracks or signs of repair. Some very slight denting can be seen on reverse. Surface scratching to guilloche panel. Catch works well, hinge in good order and case snaps shut firmly.
